Voodoo tornado test

A couple recent houseguests from Austria & Germany made this portrait of me. I thought it was pretty dead on, so precisely me that I figured I could throw myself into this tornado to see how I would do. I don't think I made it.

Freeing the hand from the mark

Last week in one of my lab classes- a super fun mark was made. Actually 20 drawings per student x 20 students. That's no less than 400 amazing marks on paper. Most pieces of paper had an innumerable amount of marks. What's innumerable x 400? Needless to say, We had fun.

Vellum Artzine was started with the intention of bringing emerging artists to the masses in a printed format. With the release of issue number 5, it was time to take it further and show some of the artists that have appeared in a more mainstream gallery/club environment that would bring in not only art lovers but music people as well. Because of my background in music journalism, I look for a certain type of artist that not only is creating amazing art but is also taking the crucial elements of pop culture and edge to another level. I find all the artists that have appeared (although very different from each other) possess that all important x-factor that can appeal to a wide range audience.

Yonkers

I work out in the country, Yonkers to be exact. My mother was born here and nature still rules the place.

Mating Dance?

Mating.

reenacting that sad scene in Last Exit to Brooklyn, the one that ends with the girl in the car with the kid helping her up, still hopelessly in love. Lobsters are very smart. They're most closely related to spiders you know, really smart ones.

And... my internet appears to be broken forever, I feel like that Christian Slater in that movie where he's running around the hillsides in a jeep with the fcc hot on his trail. So tonight's gonna be another-

Chopper Styer aka Douglass

Before there was Blackhole, Chopper wrote songs for me. Actually just one song, the one that's written on the picture above, but it's a doozie + he was kind enough to perform it for a roving art show in Salt Lake City. Someday I'll transfer the VHS tape documentation to digital and share it with the world- more youtube for you. The video looks sorta like this, Chopper torqueing the hotness meter, but with a guitar instead of an impact wrench.
